Through her work, Lyra helps people better understand their bodies, regulate stress, and build sustainable habits that foster resilience, vitality, and long-term health.
From early in my career, I developed a strong interest in understanding human health, performance, and the body’s ability to adapt and heal. My academic and professional path led me into the fields of exercise physiology and biomedical research, where I studied how movement, nutrition, and biological processes influence overall wellbeing. Through my work in research and clinical settings, I gained valuable insight into how the body responds to stress, recovery, and physical training.
Over time, my interest in health expanded beyond physiology and scientific research to include the deeper connection between the mind, body, and nervous system. This exploration led me to integrate mindfulness, somatic practices, and holistic wellness approaches into my work. Today, this perspective forms the foundation of my coaching practice, where I help individuals better understand their bodies, manage stress, and build sustainable habits that support long-term wellbeing and vitality.
My professional journey began in the fields of exercise physiology and biomedical research, where I focused on understanding how the human body responds to movement, stress, and recovery. I worked as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, supporting cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patients through personalized exercise programs designed to rebuild strength, improve cardiovascular health, and restore confidence in physical activity.
Later, I continued my career as a Research Scientist, designing and conducting studies to evaluate the safety and biological impact of medical technologies. In this role, I collaborated with engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams, contributing to research that supported evidence-based healthcare solutions and improved patient outcomes.
Over time, my work in science and healthcare expanded into a broader interest in holistic wellbeing. This led me to integrate research, exercise physiology, and mind-body wellness practices into my coaching approach. Today, through InnerStrength Coaching, I help individuals better understand their bodies, regulate stress, and build sustainable habits that support long-term health, resilience, and overall wellbeing.
At InnerStrength Coaching, my mission is to support individuals in reconnecting with their bodies, restoring balance, and cultivating lasting wellbeing. Life can bring periods of stress, uncertainty, or physical and emotional fatigue, and my goal is to provide a supportive space where people can better understand their health, regulate their nervous systems, and rediscover a sense of balance and resilience.
With a background in exercise physiology, biomedical research, and holistic wellness coaching, I bring a science-informed perspective to supporting both physical and emotional wellbeing. My approach is grounded in the belief that the body has a natural capacity for balance and recovery when we learn to listen to it and support it with mindful, sustainable habits.
My coaching approach is practical, supportive, and personalised. Through one-on-one sessions and thoughtful guidance, I help individuals manage stress, improve mind-body awareness, and build sustainable practices that promote long-term health, vitality, and inner strength.
